Redmi’s “2025G” mystery solved: Tipster reveals it to be Redmi 14C 5G
Redmi’s newest teaser uses the tagline “2025G,” hinting at their upcoming smartphone launch in early 2025. While Redmi hasn’t officially named the device, tipster Paras Guglani has identified it as the Redmi 14C 5G, set for both global and Indian markets.
The phone’s Indian variant was spotted on Geekbench in October, revealing a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. This connects to Redmi’s September 2023 releases – the 14R 5G in China and 14C 4G globally(August). A look at the model numbers shows the connection: the Chinese 14R 5G uses “2411DRN47C,” with variants for different regions changing just the last letter (G for global, R for Japan, I for India).
Given these details, the upcoming phone appears to be a global version of the Chinese 14R 5G, marketed as the 14C 5G. In simpler terms, Redmi is taking their Chinese model, making any necessary regional adjustments, and releasing it worldwide under a different name.
However, until Redmi makes an official announcement, these specifications and details remain unconfirmed. The company has yet to reveal the final features, pricing, and exact launch date of this upcoming device.
