Samsung Said To Install Its Exynos 2500 SoC In Galaxy Z Flip 7 Smartphone
Previous rumors suggested that Samsung would introduce its in-house Exynos 2500 chip in one of the Galaxy S25 series models, but later, it was said that the company would launch the series powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC as Exynos 2500 needs more time to be ready.
A few days back, the Galaxy S25+ European variant was spotted on the Geekbench database and the source code suggested that the device could be equipped with Exynos 2500 SoC, once again creating confusion among Galaxy fans. Well, it is now said that the Galaxy S25 series will go global with Snapdragon 8 Elite while a recent report by THEELEC reveals that Samsung will be installing Exynos 2500 SoC in its next generation foldable phone that is said to release in the second half of next year- Galaxy Z Flip 7.
As per the report, the above information is confirmed by a high-ranking Samsung Electronics official. The chip is said to go into mass production next year. It is also revealed that the brand will produce 229.4 million smartphones next year of which Z Flip 7 will account for 3 million units or 1% whereas there will also be a budget model Z Flip FE that will account for 0.4% or 900,000 units.
Also as per tipster @tarunvats33, Samsung has low target sales for Flip 7, barely 3 million while their S series sales is around 20 million. Maybe this is the reason the company wants to use the Exynos chipset in the Flip model.
For now, Samsung is focusing on the launch of its flagship Galaxy S25 series which is said to take place at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Event next month likely on 22nd January. Initially, the series will include Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra models while later it will be accompanied by Galaxy S25 Slim model and Galaxy S25 FE. Since there is still a lot of time left in the launch of next-generation Galaxy foldable devices, we may come across some more updates related to the devices soon.
