Samsung Galaxy A56 5G Smartphone Receives India’s BIS Certification: India Launch Also Now Confirmed

Very recently, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy A56 5G made it to China’s MIIT and TENAA certification databases and following this, the upcoming device has now also made its appearance on the BIS certification platform of India. Via its new BIS listing, the India launch has also been confirmed.

Samsung Galaxy A56 5G – BIS Certification

The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G smartphone bearing the model number of ‘SM-A566E/DS’ has appeared on the BIS certification platform of India, and it has received the grant or inclusion on to the database as of on the 9th of January 2025. While nothing about its specs or features have been revealed through the BIS listing, one thing is now confirmed. Samsung, as mentioned, will also be launching its next Galaxy A56 5G model in the Indian market as well.

Speaking of previous updates, apart from the recent MIIT and TENAA certifications, the upcoming Galaxy A56 5G device of Samsung was also spotted on the 3C, EMVCo, and the Geekbench databases. Moreover, the France support page also went live a few days back.

About its revealed/expected features, it is suggested to be powered by the brand’s own Exynos 1580 chip clocked at 2.91 GHz, and is going to be integrated with the Xclipse 540 GPU. It is believed to run on the One UI 7 custom skin based on the Android 15 operating system and offers an 8GB RAM variant. A triple rear camera system and a single front-facing camera have also been revealed for the smartphone. It is also pointed out to pack a 4905 mAh rated battery with 45W wired fast charge support, along with other specs like 2G/3G/4G/5G network connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth, and USB supports.

Additionally, the MIIT database revealed its render images, before which the CAD-based renders were also shared. While the device appears to have a usual Samsung Galaxy smartphone design, notably it features the new pill-shaped rear camera module as well as the key island at the right side panel. Furthermore, it looks similar to the Galaxy A26 5G and Galaxy A36 5G smartphones too in terms of design.
