OPPO Find N5 – Internal Codename and Other Revealed Updates
If we look into previous updates, it is said that the latest Find N5 smartphone could be unveiled after the Chinese New Year or Spring Festival of this year (29th January 2025), and the latest Weibo updates from Zhou Yibao, OPPO’s Product Manager, further suggests that the launch is indeed quite near.
In his Weibo post, the Product Manager notes that he is introducing the brand’s next generation foldable – OPPO Find N5 to the national distributors and key customer partners, and the presentation is being prepared by him (in car as he caught a cold the night before). However, if he is by any chance unable to do so, he adds that he will share it for everyone to see, also pointing out that the device is ‘such an awesome product’.
In a follow-up post, he also shared that the internal code name for the OPPO Find N5 smartphone is ‘Seagull’, inspired and taken from the Russian writer Maxim Gorky’s play – The Seagull. A few lines from the play have also been shared in the Weibo post, further likely pointing at the powerful performance and competitiveness the upcoming Find N5 foldable smartphone would be offering.
While nothing in particular about the specs or features have been revealed, one thing is now sure. The OPPO Find N5 final product is in fact possibly ready and is expected to hit the market soon. We may also likely be hearing more about the device soon, and details concerning the exact launch date and more could be shared.
Speaking of previous updates, the global variant of the upcoming Find N5 was recently spotted on the SIRIM, SDPPI, and Camera FV 5 certification databases, confirming its global availability too. Few of its expected/revealed specs are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Android 15 based ColorOS 15 custom skin, larger main and cover displays (2K resolution ultra-flat main display), 50MP(large primary lens) + 50MP(ultrawide lens) + 50MP(periscope telephoto lens, 3x zoom) triple rear camera system, a 28MP front-facing camera, 5700 mAh (typical) battery, wireless charging (likely magnetic), X-axis motor, IPX8-rated waterproof body, anti-fall body structure, zero-crease hinge, thin and light-weight design, and the Apple ecology compatibility.
