OPPO Find N5 Teased as ‘World’s Thinnest Folding Flagship’; Official Launch Time Frame Revealed

Very recently, we saw OPPO’s Product Manager – Zhou Yibao sharing the internal codename (Seagull) and other details concerning the brand’s next flagship horizontal or book-like foldable – the Find N5 and now, in a new Weibo update, the OPPO Chief Product Officer (CPO) – Liu Zuohu/Pete Lau has teased the device for its thin form factor design as well as has revealed the official launch time frame of this device.

OPPO Find N5 – World’s Thinnest Folding Flagship Launching in February 2025

In the past, we had already come across updates pointing out that the Chinese consumer electronics maker OPPO would be unveiling a lot of its latest products in the first half of this year with the Find N5 flagship smartphone launching first after the China New Year or Spring Festival (~ after 29th January 2025). Moreover, it was also tipped to feature a slimmer design with possibly a folded thickness of 9.x mm.

Well, both these have now seemingly been confirmed with the latest Weibo update, as the brand’s CPO has shared that the Find N5 is set to launch next month in February 2025, and is claimed to arrive as the ‘world’s thinnest folding flagship’. Additionally, it can also be noted that this Weibo update has been shared by the OPPO official from the latest Find N5 device itself, again reiterating that the final product is ready.

In related news, tipster Digital Chat Station has again tipped some of its key specs, suggesting features like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, wireless charging, and IPX8-rated body, that have brought major improvements over its predecessor. Also, some of its other tipped specs include 6.85″± 1.5K resolution LTPO main display, hyperbolic (likely curved) super large cover display, 50MP (1/1.5) large bottom main camera and 50MP (1/2.76″) ultra-wide camera, no upright telephoto camera, full-size NFC, and side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Also to add, late last month in December 2024, we had also spotted the Find N5 (global model) on the SIRIM, SDPPI, and Camera FV 5 certification platforms, which had confirmed its launch in global markets too following the China debut.
