Reliance Jio has officially made its way into the smart TV operating system market with the launch of JioTele OS for televisions in India.
As per the company, this new platform aims to address limitations in the current connected TV landscape, for Indian consumers.
JioTele OS for Smart TV
The OS will offer AI-powered content recommendations based on user viewing habits and trending programs. It is optimized for 4K streaming on supported TVs and offers access to a vast library of TV channels, cloud games, OTT apps, and seamless switching between TV channels with a single remote.
The company will also be releasing regular software updates to ensure the TV OS stays compatible with new apps, content formats, and evolving technology. It offers seamless integration of global and regional content and support for leading apps.
This latest OS is said to transform Indian households with a fast, premium, and content-rich Smart TV platform at an affordable price.
Availability
JioTele OS will be available starting 21st February 2025. Jio has partnered with TV manufacturers like Thomson, Kodak, BPL, and JVC to integrate this OS into their smart TVs.
