OPPO A5 and OPPO A5 Vitality Edition Tipped to Launch This Month in China; Expected Specs and Features Also Revealed

The OPPO A5 and OPPO A5 Vitality Edition smartphone models have now been tipped to launch this month in the Chinese market. Along with this, the key specs and other features of the two upcoming smartphones have also been revealed.

OPPO A5 and OPPO A5 Vitality Edition – Tipped to Launch on 18th March 2025

As per the update from the X tipster @ZionsAnvin, the Chinese smartphone maker – OPPO is expected to launch its A5 and A5 Vitality Edition smartphone devices in its home market on the coming 18th of March 2025. It has also been pointed out that the OPPO A5 carries the model number – ‘PKQ110’ (spotted on TENAA, MIIT), whereas the OPPO A5 Vitality Edition bears the model number – ‘PKV110’ (spotted on MIIT).

About its revealed key specs and features, the OPPO A5 smartphone is believed to arrive equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, and it may be featuring a 6.7″ OLED FHD+ display screen. On the camera side, the device is said to offer a 50MP + 2MP dual rear camera system and an 8MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is also expected to pack a 6500 mAh battery, with possibly a 45W wired fast charging feature.

Other notable features include the Android 15 based ColorOS 15, in-display fingerprint scanner, and IP66/68/69 rated body. It is also suggested to measure 161.57 x 74.47 x 7.65 mm and weigh 185 gm. Four storage options (8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB) and three colors choices (Black, Blue, Pink) are also expected.

OPPO A5 Vitality Edition

OPPO’s A5 Vitality Edition is said to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chip, and it will likely offer its users an LCD display with 6.7″ size and HD+ resolution. At the rear, the same 50MP + 2MP dual cameras may be present, as well as the same 8MP selfie camera. It could also be backed by a 5800 mAh battery and support 45W wired fast charging.

ColorOS 15 custom skin based on Android 15 OS, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IP66/68/69 rating are other expected features. The device may also measure 164.82 x 75.53 x 7.86 mm in size, with a probable weight of 196 gm. Three storage options (8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB) and three colors choices (Black, Green, Pink) may also be offered for the device.

Additionally, the same tipster has also confirmed that these two devices are expected to be re-branded respectively as the OPPO F29 and OPPO A5 Pro (~ India) smartphones as well.
