Prime Minister Narendra Modi receives guard of honour at Palazzo Chigi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Rome soon for the G20 Summit, marking the first time an Indian prime minister has visited the city in nearly a decade. On Friday, PM Modi will arrive in Rome at about 9.30 a.m. (IST).

“PM Narendra Modi’s visit to Rome, which begins tomorrow, will be his first visit to the Italian capital since taking office,” said Neena Malhotra, India’s ambassador to Italy. It will also be the first visit to Rome by an Indian Prime Minister in almost a decade.”

 

PM Modi will visit the Gandhi statue around 3.30 p.m. (IST) after arriving in Rome, and then hold a bilateral meeting with Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi at 5.30 p.m. (IST).
