Meru Cabs has been acquired by Mahindra Logistics

MLL will expand its offering of mobility solutions with the addition of Meru under its brand, with a strategic focus on enterprise customers and electric mobility.

Mahindra Logistics Ltd, India’s largest third-party logistics service provider, announced the acquisition of Meru Travel Solutions Private Limited on November 9. (MTSPL).

Mahindra Logistics Ltd has acquired Meru Mobility Tech Private Limited, V-Link Fleet Solutions Private Limited, and V-Link Automotive Services Private Limited from MTSPL for 100 percent of their equity share capital. Mahindra Logistics Ltd hopes to consolidate and expand its enterprise mobility business with this acquisition.

MLL also stated that by incorporating Meru into its brand, the company will be able to expand its mobility solutions, with a strategic focus on enterprise customers and electric mobility. MLL’s Enterprise Mobility Service (ETMS) company, which operates under the ‘Alyte’ brand, is already a market leader.

“I am delighted to welcome Meru to the Mahindra Logistics family, a pioneering brand in India’s shared mobility industry. With the addition of airport ride-hailing and on-call services, the acquisition expands our mobility services portfolio. By combining our supply, technology management, and electric mobility expertise, we expect considerable synergies.

In a statement, Mahindra Logistics Ltd’s MD and CEO Rampraveen Swaminathan said, “The combined capabilities of Meru and Alyte will enable us to better serve our B2C and enterprise customers with an expanded portfolio of services delivering on a promise of safety, customer excellence, and sustainability.”

Meru Cabs, which was founded in 2006, changed the way people travelled in cabs by providing AC cabs at their doorstep with a simple phone call. Meru now has a large presence in the airport ride hailing industry and offers corporates in India on-call and employee mobility services. Apart from that, Meru’s fleet includes a considerable number of electric vehicles.
