Wrestler Nisha Dahiya says reports of her being shot dead are false.
After allegations that she had been shot dead in Haryana, wrestler Nisha Dahiya issued a video this evening saying she is alright.
Nisha adds in the video that she is in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, for the senior national competition, with Olympic medalist Sakshi Malik by her side.
Sakshi Malik, a wrestler, then tweeted a photo of Nisha with the comment “She is alive.”
According to reports, the wrestler and her brother Suraj were shot dead today at the Sushil Kumar Wrestling Academy in Sonipat, after the wrestler brought fame to the country by earning a bronze medal at a world tournament last week.
These reports were also broadcast on Thetechoutlook.
However, it was later discovered that Nisha Yadav, a wrestler, was shot and killed near the academy. Villagers were enraged by the occurrence and set fire to the academy.
Nisha Yadav, a state-level player, had been practising for three years at the academy. She was supposedly killed by Pawan, who was in charge of the academy and was from the same village as her. Pawan and a man named Sachin are accused of murdering her and ordering her mother to fetch her up from the academy. When Nisha Yadav’s mother and brother arrived at the academy, they were also attacked.
Pawan and Sachin are accused of stealing the academy’s CCTV camera and fleeing the scene.
