A 23-year-old Telangana software engineer has been detained on suspicion of making a disgusting online rape threat directed at Indian cricketer Virat Kohli’s baby daughter after defending his teammate Muhammad Shami against Twitter trolls following attacks on him for his faith following India’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan. According to a top Mumbai police officer, the suspect, Akubathini Ramnagesh, is an engineering graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad who was preparing for post-graduate admission.
