Sonia Gandhi, the Congress President, has cancelled her birthday celebrations for December 9 because to the death of CDS Bipin Rawat
Near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, an IAF Mi 17 V5 helicopter carrying the CDS and nine other passengers was involved in a tragic accident.
On December 9, Congress President Sonia Gandhi will celebrate her 75th birthday. The Congress president, on the other hand, would not be celebrating her birthday and has advised other Congress party members and supporters to do so as well, according to party leader and MP K. C. Venugopal.
Hon'ble Congress President has decided not to celebrate her birthday, tomorrow the 9th December.
Urging party workers and supporters to strictly avoid any celebrations.

Following the tragic death of CDS General Bipin Rawat and his family in an IAF helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu today, the celebration was cancelled (Dec 8).
The Indian Air Force stated that Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika, and 11 other individuals on board an Indian Air Force helicopter died in an accident near Coonoor, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday.
“Today, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat paid a visit to Defence Services Staff College, Wellington (Nilgiri Hills) to address faculty and student officers of the Staff Course,” the statement added.
