Bhargava, the chief of Starlink India operation by Elon Musk, has relinquished in the ground of the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the district controller reprimanding the US major’s Indian branch for seizing pre-bookings without any licence to give satellite broadband services in the nation.
Bhargava’s shocking acquiescence also occurred simultaneously with Starlink kicking off the procedure of repaying the $99 residues it had compiled from over 7,000 Indian residents who had pre-booked a relation from the satellite broadband branch of Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
In late Tuesday evening, Bhargava announced on LinkedIn Post that he have stepped down as Country Director and Chairman of the Board of Starlink India for personal reasons and his last working day was 31st December, 2021. He also requested to respect his privacy because he has no comments for media.
Almost before a month ago, the transmissions ministry had banned Starlink from striving any pre-bookings for its upcoming services in India as it however does not have a regional licence. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) excessively had thereafter inquired Starlink to desist from pleading for telecom business and collecting relevant expenses without the crucial authorization.
He had formerly served with Musk as role of a multinational company that had established electronic payments company, PayPal.
