Tape footage asserted exhibiting BJP MLA Pankaj Gupta being slapped by a farmer during an event has gone viral with the legislator insisting it to be barely a fond tap on his cheek by his uncle.
With the tape bringing broader circulation, the legislator from Unnao’s Sadar chair on Friday had to assemble a press conference to dissipate the adverse opinion.
The man in the tape footage is my ‘chacha’ and he barely dabbed me fondly like he tried to perform in the history. Gupta told journalists, indicating to the aged man, relaxing by his side during the press conference.

The aged farmer in the tape was observed as Chhatrpal and the video footage exhibited policemen seizing him away after he slam the MLA on the platform.
Gupta told journalists that the occurrence brought place 2 days before during a event to disclose the sculpture of Gulab Singh Lodhi at Erabhadiyabhar roundabout on the event of the birth anniversary of veteran BJP governor Kalyan Singh on January 5.
