Union Budget 2022: meeting concludes, budget 2022 approved, attended by PM Modi, Finance minister
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be presenting her fourth Union Budget in Parliament, today(February 1, 2022). Union Budget 2022 will be the 2nd paperless budget in view of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, after 2020 when it was the first time. Also, Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey which affected the GDP growth at an optimistic percentage of 8 to 8.5.
Following Budget Day, the meeting has started today at around 10:10 am, concluded at around 10:40 am. The Cabinet had approved the Union Budget 2022.
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be giving a speech at 11 am for presenting the budget in public.
