WhatsApp’s new features: Frequent contacts in contact list and others

WhatsApp’s new features are amid ongoing tests or in the stage of release for WhatsApp desktop too. It will introduce a new design layout. WhatsApp might soon show contacts that are frequent contacts and contacts with recent chat in ‘contact list’ itself. Moreover, there will be a global audio player on desktop of android users. Lastly, the feature of highlighting business directories is under testing.

Are there any other WhatsApp’s new features too?

WhatsApp’s new features include 3 of them mainly. Firstly, WhatsApp shows frequent contacts and recent chats on inter-platform sharing option already. However, now users will be able to see the contacts with recent chats and those who are in frequent touch in the contact list. The feature is still in the testing stage. It is not released yet and is in the beta stage. Thus, the final release of the feature remains tentative.

Although, there are other two features in store for users. Following are the features:

  • WhatsApp IoS beta testers are experiencing global audio player. Now, the global audio player is available on WhatsApp desktop too. Using it, a playing voice note in a chat box will not stop despite switching chat boxes.
  • Additionally, WhatsApp is also testing the feature of adding business directories. It means that when a business institution tries to get in touch with a user, they will be notified through a separate message that its a company that is trying so.
