Shivam Mavi was sold by Kolkata Knight Riders at 3 Crore in 2021 IPL Auction and his base price was 40 lakhs.

Mavi rendered his debut for India against South Africa in the Quadrangular Series on 27 August 2018. On the beginning day of the 2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy Mavi seized a hat-trick for Uttar Pradesh.

He earned his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018 Ranji Trophy. In his additional first-class tournament against Odisha, he grabbed up his maiden Five-wicket haul.

In 2018, he was nominated in India’s squad for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

In 2019, he replaced injured Arshdeep Singh in India’s team for the 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
