Sunrisers Hyderabad initially wanted to buy Ishaan Kishan but went Nicholas Pooran as the best Option
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) splurged INR 10.75 crore to secure the services of West Indies batter Nicholas Pooran at the IPL 2022 Auction, which raised eyebrows and questions. “We initially wanted Kishan, but once his bid crossed our budget, we had to look for an alternative. Bairstow was available, but we had doubts on whether he would be available for the entire season. We wanted a wicketkeeper who would be available for the entire season, so we considered Pooran,” Muralitharan told in an interview, according to sportskeeda.
Muralitharan said they are optimistic about Pooran’s return.
