Sensex and Nifty show recovery: Know today’s market
After successive loss making for 5 days, markets recover on Friday.
Finally, Sensex and Nifty show recovery. Russia Ukraine crisis incites uncertainty in stock markets across the world. Volatility is increasing in the market and selling continues incessantly.
In India, markets are likely to suffer due to global supply chain disruptions, high crude oil prices, and inflation. Should the predicament changes for worse, Indian investors can expect RBI’s move to higher interest rates and this would reduce liquidity. Higher interest rates would mean lower PE valuation for equities enlisted of Indian entities on benchmark indices, BSE Sensex & NIFTY.
Market until today:
Now, up until today, market has lost more than 3% due to the conflict in Eastern Europe. Equities on Indian indices across sectors end in red. While, BSE Sensex 30 sheds 3.41% or 1974.45 points and NSE NIFTY 50 loses 3.57% or 617.9 points.
Firstly, BSE large cap index loses 3.3%. The losers were Indus Towers, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, UPL, Interglobe Aviation, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company, TATA Motors, SBI Life Insurance Company, Grasim Industries, Ambuja Cements, and HDFC Life Insurance Company.
Also, BSE midcap index loses 2.5%. The laggards were Bank of India, Rajesh Exports, Ajanta Pharma, Zee Entertainment Enterprises, Balkrishna Industries, Shriram Transport Finance Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals, New India Assurance Company, LIC Housing Finance, Indraprastha Gas, Kansai Nerolac Paints.
FIIs sell Rs 19,843.52 crore equities and DIIs purchase equity worth Rs 21,511.79 crore.
Moreover, small cap index loses the most at 10-22%. Over 100 firms make loss.
Sensex and Nifty show recovery:
Indian indices rebound on 25th February.
On Friday, Sensex closes at 55858.52 with a gain of 2.44% or 1328.61 points. Further, NIFTY 50 gains 2.53% to gain 410.40 points to close in green at 16658.40. At the same time, sector wise indices like, NIFTY Midcap 100 gain 4.18% and S&P BSE small cap gain 4.17%.
