The Kolkata Knight Riders unveiled their new jersey on Holi, and the Indian Premier League 2022 kicks off in just 9 days.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the two-time IPL winners, are the latest team to unveil their new uniform. In a section broadcast live on their social media accounts, the franchise debuted the jersey in the overwhelming presence of CEO Venky Mysore and freshly chosen captain Shreyas Iyer.
The Kolkata Knight Riders revealed the jersey with a video including skipper Shreyas Iyer’s voice-over.

The new jersey, which sticks to their historic colours, has a lot more gold in it than the old one. The jersey’s bottom half features an inspirational design that works nicely as a whole. The kit also has a fresh new primary sponsor, the franchise’s fourth overall since the tournament’s debut.
“Cannot ask for more than that. What we know of Shreyas Iyer is that he is going to lead by example with his effort and everything else will follow. It is a game, whatever happens will happen. But when that intent is there, when that effort is there, that is what you can ask for,” said Mysore in the video released by KKR on Twitter.
The reigning champions Chennai Super Kings will face Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the IPL 2022 season. According to the IPL schedule, the match will take place on March 26 at Wankhede Stadium.
