A person recently died in Haryana as a result of an explosion in the lithium-ion battery of a scooter sold by Gurugram-based HCD India.
Fire explosion cases, on the other hand, have always featured manufacturers accused of marketing subpar products. Until Saturday, top manufacturers, particularly Ola Electric, which claims to be building the world’s largest two-wheeler plant, were known for providing high-quality products. Hormazd Sorabjee, the senior auto journalist and editor of Autocar India, stated on Twitter that the burning Ola scooter shows battery safety concerns.
