Russia on NASA: Russia broke ties with NASA, refused to work together on the International Space Station… placed a big condition!

It’s now 38 days since the Russia and Ukraine war. Moscow’s actions have completely ruined Ukraine. At the same time, Russia is also under pressure from the sanctions of Western countries. Now Russia has announced that it will not cooperate on the International Space Station until Western sanctions are lifted. The head of the country’s space agency Roscosmos said he would not work on the space station with his partners such as NASA and the European Space Agency.

Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin revealed this on Twitter. He said that he would submit to the Kremlin a time-table for completing the existing projects. Rogozin’s decision comes after several threats from Roscosmos and delays and suspension of projects. The attack on Ukraine has followed a wave of Western sanctions against oligarchs affiliated with Putin. Frustrated by sanctions, Russia had earlier threatened to blow up the ISS.

“Sanctions imposed to destroy Russia,”
Rogozin said in a thread on Twitter. He said that these sanctions have been imposed to destroy Russia’s economy, to drown our people in despair and hunger and to bring them to their knees. It is clear that they will not be able to do this but their objectives are clear.

Rogozin wrote, ‘Therefore I believe that normal relations between partners in the International Space Station and other joint projects will be restored only when illegal sanctions are completely and unconditionally removed.’ Earlier, Rogozin had said ‘who will save the ISS’ if Russia shuts down its projects?

Elon Musk will save the ISS from falling to Earth
Responding to him, American billionaire Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, said, ‘SpaceX’. A Twitter user asked Musk if this means that SpaceX will save the ISS from falling to Earth. In response, Musk said, ‘Yes’. A few days ago, three Russian astronauts arrived at the ISS in yellow and blue space suits, which were seen as support for Ukraine.
