After a year of seismic upheaval, the Met Gala, fashion’s biggest night, returned to its customary position on the social calendar this year. Celebrities, financiers, and fashion designers were all dressed to the nines to raise donations for the Costume Institute at the museum. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, was also present at the world’s most famous event, walking the red carpet with his mother Maye Musk at the Met Gala. “My goal, providing everything goes as planned,” he continued, “would be to make Twitter as inclusive as possible, with as wide a swath of the country and the rest of the world on Twitter.” Musk’s 74-year-old mother kept her look elegant with an ankle-length burgundy crimson velvet Dior dress, sparkly strapped heels, regal clutch with Chopard jewellery.

In his recent tweet, he mentioned how he enjoyed making funny faces at the Met.
