For casual users, Twitter will always be free, but commercial and government users may incur a small fee says Elon Musk

Elon Musk the world’s richest person is in constant discussion since he bought Twitter. Amidst all these, he has indicated that in the coming time, Twitter can not be used for free for commercial/government users. However, Elon has made it clear that for casual users it will be free.

“Ultimately, the downfall of the Freemasons was giving away their stonecutting services for nothing,” Musk tweeted making premises for introducing a fee for Twitter.

Twitter Blue, which allows Twitter’s most devoted fans exclusive access to premium features and app customization for a small monthly subscription charge, is a similar concept. In the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, Twitter Blue is available on iOS, Android, and the web. While Twitter Blue provides unique services to its paying customers, Musk suggests that commercial and government users will have to pay to utilize the basic platform. Musk has clearly kept the notion at a state of possibility and his tweet is a test of the water, as he has inserted a ‘maybe’.

Since last month Musk has proposed a number of modifications to Twitter. Musk recently added the company to his cart and stated that he intended to improve the platform with new features. Even before striking an agreement with Twitter, Musk proposed a few improvements to the Twitter Blue premium subscription service, including a price cut.
