Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Everyone supports Liverpool

Liverpool lost points in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham the day before City’s 5-0 win against Newcastle. Guardiola’s squad, on the other hand, fell in the Champions League semi-finals in midweek, while Liverpool advanced to the final. Guardiola said: “Everyone in this country supports Liverpool, the media, and everyone. Of course, because Liverpool has an incredible history in European competition. Not in the Premier League, because they have won one in 30 years, but it is not a problem at all.”

Guardiola’s side will go to Wolves on Wednesday in the hopes of winning their fourth Premier League title in five years, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool taking the trophy in 2019-20. They will next travel to West Ham and end at home against Aston Villa. For many reasons, Liverpool ranks United as the most important team in terms of titles, heritage, history, and drama. He’s understood for the last 11 or 12 years that they’re uncomfortable at times, but he doesn’t mind if they want Liverpool to win more than United. He’s not bothered about it.

He also stated that they must achieve nine points or possibly six, depending on what happens in the following two games in terms of goal differential, but that Wednesday is the actual final for United. Their fate is in their hands, which is crucial. Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, and John Stones will all miss the rest of the season due to injuries, according to Guardiola. Dias was forced off during City’s win against Newcastle, while Stones and Walker were both absent, and Guardiola has stated that they will not be involved in the team’s Premier League championship defense.
