The supporters of the government and the non-supporters of the government are constantly protesting on the roads of the nation.
Such an economic crisis is seen for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka.
During such protests happening daily in the nation, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa gave his resignation to the nation’s President Gotabaya on Monday.
On Tuesday, a curfew was imposed nationwide after five people lost their lives in such turmoil.
The former Prime Minister lived in Colombo with his family members where thousands of protesters were present in front of the main gate and forced to open the gate and let the protesters into the prime minister’s residence.
After Mahinda Rajapaksa gave resignation, he acknowledged his supporters who supported him throughout, and due to constant increase of violence in the nation, Rajapaksa along with his family flew to Navy Base to keep his and his family’s life safe and out of risk.
