Can Tesla cars be good alternative in law enforcement?
Tesla cars can be the future automobile vehicle for law enforcement in the U.S as world pollution rises rapidly.
In the U.S. most cars Law enforcement uses either Chevrolet or Ford. Tesla is a good alternative to these cars that run on diesel engines which pollutes the environment heavily. On the other hand, Tesla runs faster with low maintenance costs and is a pollution-free electric car.
According to the reports of Stanford News Service, Mark Z. Jacobson, an associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at Standford University has stated that laws favouring diesel engines can actually contribute greatly to global warming. He has described in his writing in the Journal of Geophysical Research-Atmospheres that putting control of the fossil-fuel black carbon and organic matter can reduce global warming in a most effective way. The soot emitted from fossil fuels can warm the climate significantly. The diesel engine produces more mass of particulate black carbon and associated organic matter or soot per kilometre.
Tesla on the other hand provides a new technological approach to creating vehicles. Elon Musk’s Tesla runs on new generation battery technology using lithium-ion batteries also used in smartphones. Cars produced from new technology are cost-effective and can cover up to 400 miles or more between charges. The battery can last for as long as 1 million miles.
Tesla is also designing its Cyber Truck models which come with ultra-strong polymer-layered armour glass.
Tesla can be a good alternative instead of diesel-run cars for the law enforcement of the States because it is more secure and environment friendly. The U.S. law enforcement buys cars in bulk which can impact the climate heavily if they are running on diesel.
Tesla’s Cyber Truck can also help the SWAT team an enhanced mode of performance with its all-electrical design, [powerful drivetrain, extraordinary traction control, acceleration from 0-60 mph in as little as 2.9 seconds, and up to 500 miles of range.
According to sources the U.S. Dallas County has already authorized the purchase of three Tesla Model 3 vehicles to be used by the local police. The NYPD has already added Tesla Model 3 to their most desired go-to electric vehicle for police departments.
Tesla is slowly being valued by law enforcement as an alternative model of the automobile to the diesel engines.
