Zomato delivery agent who was 29 years old was stabbed to death by two Nihang Sikhs in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar in the early hours over a petty issue.
This is not the first incident that involves Nihang Sikhs as earlier on 15th October 2021 they brutally killed a Dalit man from Punjab’s Tarn Taran. He was found at the Singhur border and his hands were chopped off.
This incident not only shocked Punjab but the whole nation condemn the killing of Lakhbir Singh and demanded justice for him yet another case from Tilak Nagar was reported which annoyed the people of the country once again
According to police Sagar Singh was stabbed in his chest several times
“Initial probe showed that Singh had a quarrel with two people after which he was stabbed,” DCP Delhi (West) Ghanshyam, Bansal
He said that police were informed about the incident at 12:30 am
The police now have arrested Harshdeep Singh, 22, a resident of nearby Chander Vihar. The police also recovered the knife he used in the murder. The second suspect is still at large and police are trying to nab him.
“During interrogation, Harshdeep told the police that he and his friend were near a restaurant on street number 13, Krishna Puri when they saw Sagar blocking their way. He said they asked Sagar to move aside but he rebuked them instead,” DCP said
The local resident who witnessed the incident, Sagar’s family another Zomato delivery agent who called the ambulance were cited in the report as saying that the two accused picked up a fight with Sagar since he was smoking.
