Russian Mission OSCE’s recent tweet on cyberattack baffles netizens

Russian Mission OSCE has stated in their recent tweet that they are worried about the continuous cyber attacks on Russian information infrastructure. Russian Mission OSCE which is the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the OSCE has said on their Twitter handle, “We are concerned with continued exponential growth of computer attacks on Russian information infrastructure from territories of certain OSCE participating States, primarily the United States, Ukraine and number of EU members.”

The OSCE stands for Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe which consists of 57 participating States across the globe, along with 3 continents such as North America, Europe, and Asia. The OSCE countries maintain regular dialogue and co-operation with the participating countries. Russian Federation and Ukraine are also OSCE participating countries on the Eurasian continent.

According to a source, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) has accused Russia of violating humanitarian law in Ukraine. The OSCE has said that “the number of civilians killed or injured would have remained much lower,” if Russia would have maintained international obligations while invading Ukraine.

The OSCE has presented a 110-page report detailing the amount of damage that the Russian Federation has caused in Ukraine. The report is backed by on-site information from NGOs on the Ukrainian ground. The report stated that the conflict has affected women, children, older people, and people with disabilities, “and continues to exert particularly negative effects,” on Ukrainians.

“The violation committed by the Russian Federation, however by far larger in scale and nature,” the report cited.

According to the reports, the Russian Federation’s aggression has destroyed Ukraine as a nation. Russia has also declared cyber war on Ukraine ahead of the invasion compromising 100 million devices. The Russian army has already jeopardized Ukrainian websites and damaged electronic properties heavily to which the Anonymous Collective has pledged cyber war against the Russian Federation.

Russian Federation’s tweet has left Twitter users baffled by its double standard. So, the users also re-tweeted their responses.
