In his recent article, he makes mentions the need for a competitive exchange rate. A weak rupee is frequently required for it.
Early in 2020, India’s currency was worth 71 rupees to the US dollar. The rupee thereafter dropped to a range of Rs. 74–76 per dollar after Covid struck. Then the war in Ukraine broke out, which further depressed the currency. It is currently at Rs 78.50 to the dollar and on the verge of reaching Rs 80. This has been avoided by the Reserve Bank of India by selling dollars.

Vishal Dadlani claims that the editor is such a hypocrite to make such statements.
