Pro-Russian news outlets say the CIA actively recruiting ISIS militants to fight for Ukraine
The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has started actively recruiting ISIS militants to deploy them to fight in support of Ukraine in the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war as told by the Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik News.
The pro-Russian news agency stated that the ISIS militants or Daesh militants will be taken from northeast Syria’s Kurdish-controlled detention centers to American facilities. After a series of training in America, they will be deployed to Europe.
The Russian media outlet said, “The Kurds have so far handed over several high-ranking leaders and about 90 Daesh fighters to the American side, most of whom are citizens of European Union countries and Iraq, as well as immigrants from Chechnya and the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region in China.” The media outlet stated that the ISIS fighters will be gathered in the American military base At-Tan garrison of southern Syria. After that, they will be positioned in Eastern Europe to assist Ukraine in the fight against Russia.
According to the reports of Russia’s Arabic-language RT Arabic news channel, an intensive amount of training has been provided to almost 500 ISIS militants from the Caucasus and Central Asian countries at the camp to carry out the operation.
Reportedly, it’s been five months since Russia invaded Ukraine which is being called a “war of attrition” by several experts because Russia has performed military strategies against Ukraine by targeting the civilians and collapsing the economy of the nation. On July 1 they targeted an apartment building near Odesa killing 21 people. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has protested the incident calling it an intentionally planned attack led by the Russian military.
