YDIO has claimed to breach and leak over 500 MB of Russian Space Research Institute

On Wednesday, YDIO on Twitter claimed to have breached and leaked over 500 MB of data under the operation of BRICS of the Russian Space Science Institute. YDIO also has a Twitter account with the username as @OurDatas. They also have a forum where they can be reached at Ydio.net. According to the information provided the data contains a dataset from 1987 to the present. The hack is done under the umbrella of operation Russia.

The Russian Space Research Institute is the leading organization of the Russian Academy of Sciences on space exploration to benefit fundamental science. It was formerly known as the Space Research Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

Russia since the invasion of Ukraine has been at the forefront of war both cyber as well as military.

They also tweeted that the data is available now but only part one.

“Russia has also been fighting a quieter war against Ukraine, a cyberwar, deploying what had been considered the most feared state-sponsored hackers in the world. And in the same way that Ukraine has fended off Russia’s military might, it’s been winning the cyber war as well,” a source as per ComputerWorld on 2 May 2022.

They have also released the second part of the hack which contains a total data of 1.03 GB of the Russian Federal Research Centre for Information and Computational Technologies. The data is now available on anon files.
