Birthday turned into police custody for a Indian YouTuber Gaurav Taneja after fans created ruckus in Noida Metro
On Saturday, YouTuber Gaurav Taneja has been arrested by the police after his followers jammed the sector 51 metro station in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida to celebrate his birthday.
Gaurav through his Instagram had informed his followers about the birthday celebration at Noida’s sector 51 metro station. As a result, thousands of his followers reached the metro station to meet him.
There was a stampede due to the rush, but no casualties were reported. The police reached the spot and calmed the people. Due to the sudden rush, passengers traveling via the metro were having trouble. Metro employees also found it very hard.
As tokens for the event were being circulated under the metro station, there was a huge traffic jam. However, police cleared the roads as soon as they were informed.
“Soon Section 144 of the CrPC was imposed and the social media influencer was taken into custody for the violation of Section 144. Taneja was kept in police custody for two hours before he was arrested under Section 241 (punishment for wrongful restraint) and Section 188 (disobedience to an order lawfully promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Sources said Taneja might get bail by tonight,” a source as per India Today.
Gaurav has a YouTube channel called “Flying Beast”, which has 7.58 million subscribers.
