Around Rs 11.50 lakhs cash was found from the residence of politician Sanjay Raut!

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized around Rs 11.50 lakhs cash which was unaccounted from the residence of Shiv Sena’s leader Sanjay Raut.

Earlier today, at 7 am on the Sunday morning, Raut’s Mumbai residency was raided by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case in connection with the Patra Chawl land scam case. Later, after 5 pm, he was brought to the ED office.

Initially, in April, the ED also seized the properties worth over Rs 11.15 crore of Varsha Raut, wife of Sanjay Raut. Along with this, two of his associates were also charged during investigation. The properties were also held by his assistant Pravin M Raut and Swapna Patkar, wife of Sujit Patkar.

Pravin Raut was arrested by the ED in February in connection with a Rs 1,034 crore land scam related to the re-development of the Patra chawl in Mumbai’s Goregaon area, And the ED had suspicion on Sanjay Raut too, which got correct.
