Indonesia to fulfil Nickel orders for Tesla’s lithium ion batteries
Joko Widodo, the president of Indonesia and Elon musk singed a major deal of $ 5 billion. The CEO of Tesla and the president exchanged words on the potential investment in the nickel industry and the supply of batteries for electric vehicles. As for an update, the government of Indonesia is really happy with the deal.
Well, as per the latest updates Indonesia was trying to secure its deal with TESLA on battery investment with the addition to that they are also trying to potentially invest in Musk’s SpaceX aerospace company. Jokowi had travelled from Washington to attend a meeting of leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and to meet Musk at the SpaceX launch site in Boca Chica, Texas. He invited the billionaire to visit Indonesia in November.
The president of Indonesia is hosting a Group of 20 big economies in Bali in November. The use of nickel is important to deliver higher energy density and greater storage capacity at a lower cost. Along with Elon Musk, several other car manufacturers have also started contacting the country for their nickel needs in making lithium-ion batteries
However, as per our reports, this is set to be a profitable deal for both parties as it shows the importance of Indonesia from a business perspective which will stand out in the upcoming future.
