SpaceX marks 39 rocket launches in the year 2022

SpaceX reached a milestone of launching more than 3000 satellites for Starlink. On Wednesday, SpaceX marked the launch of its 39th rocket for the year 2022. The Falcon 9 rocket took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California today.  The rocket carried 46 Starlink internet satellites.

The company has maintained a record of launching a Falcon 9 every 6.2 days this year. According to this calculation, it can be assumed that they are planning for a figure of 55 to 60.

Eric Berger took to Twitter on Wednesday and mentioned this strategy and achievement of SpaceX. Additionally he added that has heard that the company’s goal is 100 orbital flights next year.

Elon Musk retweeted the Tweet and confirmed the statement. He tweeted, “Yeah, aiming for 100 flights next year”.

Starlink is a giant internet constellation by SpaceX that offers broadband service to customers all across the world. In the year 2022, SpaceX managed to launch 25 dedicated Starlink missions. The company’s majority of launches involves Starlink these days.

The recent two stage Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the SpaceX robotic dronership Of Course I Still Love You (stationed at the Pacific Ocean). The upper stage of the rocket kept flying to low Earth orbit. It was supposed to deploy the 46 Starlink satellites a little over an hour after the launch.
