Rumor: Is Google Working on a Small Screen Pixel?

The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro were divisive phones for many, primarily due to their large physical dimensions. However, a new rumor suggests that Google is working on a “small-screen” Pixel phone.

According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, Google is developing a “small-screen flagship machine” to complement the company’s smartphone line of products. The device would include a centered hole-punch layout on the front and a “family-style” look on the back, supposedly to match the look of the next Pixel generation.

The above rumor makes no mention of a release date, except that the device will be codenamed “neila.” However, the company’s latest models are both significantly larger than previous releases, with the standard 6 approximately the same size as many of Google’s previous “XL” models. The Pixel 6a is Google’s smallest phone right now, with a 6.1-inch display and a size that we like.
