Roger Federer announces his exit

A very unpleasant and at the same time emotional day in the history of Tennis, Swiss man and absolute legend of the game, Roger Federer has announced his retirement from the game of Tennis. Moreover, for all tennis lovers, world came shattering down. Federer has often been described as one of the best sportsmen in the world.

The athlete has played over 1,500 matches during the illustrious career, which consisted of more than 24 years.

In a Twitter post, the Swiss man said that for the last few years he has been battling injuries and surgeries and despite trying his best to return to full fitness, his body isn’t allowing him to reach the level where he feels confident to play.

The upcoming Laver Cup will be the last ATP event for the legend.

However, Federer said that he will play tennis in future but will not be a part of any Grand Slams or any sort of Tours. After the news of his retirement came out, many sporting personalities across the globe extended their gratitude towards the Tennis maestro.

Furthermore, Roger won his first Grand Slam title back early in 2003 when he won the Wimbledon title. After that, he then went on to become the first player in the Open Era to win 20 Grand Slams.
