Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara: Mild hybrid technology v/s Strong hybrid technology differences
Recently, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara car was unveiled on the market. Auto enthusiasts in India are excited about having the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara available in two prominent versions, namely, the mild hybrid version and the strong hybrid version. There are various differences between the two versions. This will help buyers determine which version they should buy in the near future. Let’s have a look.
Mileage
A major highlight of the new Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is the industry-best mileage of the car. It promises a mileage of 27.97 kmpl only for its strong hybrid SUVs. However, this feature is not available in mild hybrid SUVs. The mild hybrid versions will offer mileage depending on their own gearbox and its capacity to operate.
Design and Features
Although there isn’t much of a difference in the design of both versions, strong hybrid variants get champagne gold inserts whereas the mild hybrid versions get aluminum inserts. The strong hybrid version also has certain additional features such as a Digital instrument panel, head-up display (HUD), wireless charging, and puddle lamps. These are not available in the mild hybrid versions of the SUV.
Boot Space
In the strong hybrid versions of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV, the brand has used a separator to enhance the boot space available. In the mild hybrid versions, there is a regular boot with a spare wheel. Additionally, in the strong hybrid versions of the SUV, there is a lithium-ion battery pack installed in the boot of the vehicle. The spare wheel is placed below the boot in the strong hybrid versions of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV.
