The next stable version of One UI 5, which is based on Android 13

The One UI 5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Galaxy Note20, and Note20 Ultra is live in the U.S. and South Korea, according to recent entries on the Samsung Community forums.

Samsung has already begun distributing the first beta update for the flagship foldable (firmware version ZVJ8), which adds all the new features from Android 13 to the operating system. The update also adds a few helpful Samsung-only features and the Android security updates for October 2022.

Samsung described the major features for the next stable version of One UI 5, which is based on Android 13, today morning. The company is still running its open beta program and has now added four more devices to it while we wait for it to arrive on phones left and right.

Here you can register for beta program

By tapping on the beta announcement banner in the Samsung Members app and completing the registration form, you can sign up for the beta program and test out One UI 5 on your Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip3, Galaxy Note20, and Note20 Ultra before the stable release.

After Samsung accepts your application, an OTA update should provide the first beta build to your device. Samsung outlined the key improvements that One UI 5, which is based on Android 13, will have in its future stable version. The business is still running its open beta program and has now added four more devices to it while we wait for it to arrive on phones left and right.

You must open the Samsung Members app and then touch on the sizable banner that will appear at the top, which promotes the beta program, if you own one of the phones and wish to try the One UI 5 beta.

You then submit some information, and in a matter of minutes—or at most, over the course of a few hours—you should be presented with an over-the-air upgrade to the beta build.

Everything Google included in Android 13 is included in One UI 5, along with support for stackable widgets, new color options for dynamic themes, new gestures for split-screen multitasking, an improved My Files app, a new Bixby Text Call feature that allows you to participate in calls by texting, Modes for customized device settings based on scenarios, support for video wallpapers on the lock screen, and a new Smart Suggestions widget.
