Get ready as VIVO X90 Series may get a launch on 24th October along with VIVO V2 chip announcement
Vivo has officially announced that the Vivo V2 image signal processor chip will be unveiled on October 24th at its Imaging Strategy Conference. The V2 ISP is expected to be included in the upcoming Vivo X90 smartphone lineup, which is set to launch in December.
It is highly likely that Vivo will officially announce or hint at the X90 series’ launch date at this event. The upcoming lineup will include three devices: the Vivo X90, the Vivo X90 Pro, and the Vivo X90 Pro Plus.
These devices will succeed the well-received Vivo X80 series, which is known for its excellent camera performance, which is made possible in part by the Vivo V1+ ISP chip.
Following the Chinese launch, the X90 series is expected to arrive in global markets to compete with flagships such as the iPhone 14 series, Pixel 7 series, upcoming Xiaomi 13 series, and Oppo Find X6 series.
The Vivo X90 series is currently unknown, but it is almost certain that the devices in the lineup will be powered by the latest Snapdragon/ Dimensity flagship chipsets.
The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and the Dimensity 9200 SoC will be used.
The top-tier Vivo X90 Pro Plus is expected to include the Dimensity 9200 chipset and a 1-inch camera sensor. As well as an ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom and the V2 ISP chip.
Earlier rumors suggested that the X90 Pro Plus would have a curved AMOLED LTPO display with a Quad HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The device is also expected to include a 5000mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
Vivo introduced the X70 series in India with its new V1 chip, while the V1+ debuted alongside the X80 series. Vivo designed the new imaging chip to provide high computing power, low latency, and low power consumption. The company also collaborated with legendary camera equipment manufacturer Zeiss to create a custom Image Signal Processor (ISP). That offers high light transmittance, ultra-low dispersion, and thermal stability.
The company’s upcoming V-series ISP is expected to improve overall imaging performance while ensuring efficiency. More information will be provided at the event on October 24.
We can also expect the Vivo X90 series launch date to be announced at the same event. While the exact launch date is unknown, rumors suggest that the X90 series will be available in mid-November or December. Some information about the X90 series has also been leaked in the past.
