Blur tool for images coming up in WhatsApp web and mobile applications

In the upcoming days, WhatsApp will get five significant updates. Since the app is used by billions of people every day, WhatsApp frequently adds new features and updates to keep things interesting. There are features for usability, privacy, and other things. Recently, WhatsApp online added the ability to create personalized stickers, and it is anticipated that mobile and desktop applications will soon have a few new features.

Auto-download media on your desktop

Soon, Windows and macOS WhatsApp desktop users will be able to specify their preferred settings for automatic downloads of pictures, videos, and documents. Currently, the feature is only available to beta desktop users.

Save different photos for different people in group chats

Setting profile images for specific friends in group chats is another WhatsApp feature that is in development. When you get a message in the group, the members’ profile pictures will appear. The default profile icon will appear in the conversation if a group member’s profile photo is unavailable or disabled by privacy settings.

You will be now able to chat with yourself

Users of WhatsApp can currently only message one another. By including “message yourself” in the chat caption, the platform will use the new functionality to draw attention to that conversation. In order to make it simpler for users to access their own conversations, WaBetaInfo said that the chat with your phone number option would also be available in your WhatsApp contacts list.

Forward media with captions included

Soon, WhatsApp users will be able to send documents, videos, GIFs, and photographs, with captions, included. The feature is now available in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.23.15 through Google Play Store. It is likely to spread to further devices as well.

Blur tool for images

Some PC beta testers can currently experience the blurring of images. Using this program, WhatsApp users can secretly remove sensitive information from their photographs. According to the report, WhatsApp has developed two tools for blurring images that let users apply different blur effects to their photos. Users can also select the blur size to apply the effect accurately.
