The ColorOS 13 will Start to Feature a Zen Mode to Limit Notifications

The smartphone brand Oppo in its custom user interface of the ColorOS 13 has now included a Zen Mode. This will give its users to limit notifications for a specific period of time.

About the Zen Mode

Oppo’s sister company OnePlus was the first to come forward with a Zen Mode in its devices.

For OnePlus, the Zen Mode was created in 2019 and was co-created with the OnePlus community with the goal of providing its user with well-being in their life.

Now the ColorOS 13, Oppo’s own custom UI is providing its users the Zen Mode feature with the same tagline as the OnePlus – “Put down the phone, Enjoy Life”.

In the OnePlus, the Zen Mode feature enabled its users to limit the notifications of their smartphones for a specific period. Only selected apps will be able to send notifications.

While turning the Zen Mode on, the users won’t be able to use any social media apps. And can only use their phone for basic purposes like making a call for example.

In the OnePlus, there are three time periods that the users can select – 1 min, 30 min, and 120 min. There are five themes as well with a particular color and a particular music to it.

Turning the feature on will allow the users to put down their phones and indulge in other activities like

• Reading a book.
• Having a conversation with their dear ones.
• Or even sleeping without any distractions.

There were questions regarding a smartphone company including such a feature in their devices. But the feature was well-received by the community and had positive reviews.

The ColorOS 13

Now the ColorOS 13 is also going to feature such an option in their devices according to a tweet they made.

The comments and the responses were mostly positive and the users will be able to know more once it is available on Oppo devices.

The Zen Mode in the ColorOS 13 will most likely be similar to the one we saw in the OnePlus smartphones.

More details will only be available after the Oppo devices start getting the new feature in it.
