Top 5 Super Bikes In The World

There are three types of sports bikes, namely lightweight (up to 500 ccs), middleweight (600-750 cc) and superbikes, often referred to as litre-class (1000 cc).

Pace and enthusiasm come effortlessly as their key components when it comes to superbikes.

Here are a couple of India’s fastest superbikes.

1. Kawasaki Ninja H2

The Ninja H2 superbike is part of the Ninja sports bike family which falls under the ‘supercharged supersport’ range.

It has a 998 cc, liquid-cooled supercharged in-line 4-cylinder engine, one of the fastest production bikes in the modern period, giving out 197 bhp at 11000 rpm and 134 Nm of torque at 10500 rpm.

The supercharged litre-class superbike also has a high-tensile steel trellis with a plate base for swing-arm mounting, inverted front forks and rear shock absorbers charged by diesel.

2. BMW S 1000 RR

The BMW S 1000 RR, a top performer from Germany, now has Dynamic Traction Control as usual for all models, allowing for greater riding comfort and superior road safety.

The brute performance of the track and road-legal sports bike has left enthusiasts dumbstruck around the globe.

While the engine is not supercharged like the Ninja H2, it is nevertheless no less than its Japanese counterpart with its 999 ccs, water/oil-cooled 4-cylinder electronic injection engine.

 The S 1000 RR Sports produces 199 hp and is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox at 13500 rpm and 113 Nm at 10500 rpm.

3. Ducati Panigale V4

The supreme appearance in the ‘fast speed’ category by the Italian sports bike manufacturer is the Panigale V4.

Borrowed from a MotoGP bike, the 1103 cc, V4, Desmosedici Stradale engine provides a heart-thumping of 211 bhp at 13000 rpm, 124 Nm at 10000 rpm of torque.

With Showa at the front and the Sachs suspension unit at the back, the suspensions are fully flexible.

The leading motorcycle class also features many types of riding and other aids.

The motor is also coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.

The newly built frame of the Panigale V4 helps to keep the kerb weight down to less than 200 kg, resulting in an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 1,080hp/tonne.

4. Suzuki Hayabusa

Although the Suzuki Hayabusa, also known as the Dhoom sports bike, lacks high-tech features such as electronic assistance, stability control and also a high-end suspension configuration, young sports bike riders in India are top-rated.

The Japanese bike also has as many as three different riding styles, along with its raw strength and excellent throttle response.

It is also packed with a 1340 cc high-power, liquid-cooled four-cylinder in-line engine, it emits 197 bhp at 9500 rpm and 155 Nm at 7200 rpm.

Mated to a transmission with a 6-speed gearbox, it weighs 266 kilograms. Given this sheer weight, the 300 kmph pace can be clocked.

5. Aprilia RSV4 RF

When it was unveiled at the country’s 2018 Auto Expo, the Aprilia RSV4 RF caught everyone’s eye.

The RSV4 RF is also a track-oriented limited version of the Italian superbike brand.

Ohlin fork, Aprilia output ride control, full ride-by-wire, electronic-engine management system, Aprilia wheelie control, Aprilia launch control, Aprilia rapid change and more are some of the high-end features.

A 999 cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine that produces a high power of 198 bhp and 115 Nm of top torque is obtained from the litre-class Aprilia. While the engine is attached to a 6-speed gearbox.
