Rs 25 Lakh fine imposed on Vivo in Greater Noida for violating GRAP stage III rules, check details

Delhi NCR had already been under several regulations for a few couples of months because of the bad air quality.

Under these regulations, one is GRAP stage III (Graded Response Action Plan) regulations under which all construction activities except national need and importance are banned.

If violated fines are imposed by the State Pollution Control Board on those who are violating the rules.

Vivo Mobile India Pvt limited was fined Rs 25 Lakhs by Uttar Pradesh PCB for violating GRAP rules by constructing its production unit in Sector 24 of Yamuna Authority. 

The fine was imposed on the manufacturing unit of Vivo after a proper investigation.

The Shri Ram Universal School and a residential complex, which are located in Techzone 4 of Greater Noida are also being imposed fines of Rs 50,000. 

Radhe Shyam who is the Regional Pollution officer of Greater Noida said “the rules of GRAP Stage III are applicable and all construction work has been banned under it. Strict action is being taken against polluters by keeping a keen watch.”
