Today, WhatsApp has rolled out some major updates on its platform. The updates come with some cool new Wallpaper and Sticker features.
WhatsApp in its statement said, “This week we are starting to release some new updates to WhatsApp, including improvements to Wallpapers, the launch of a search feature for Stickers and a new animated sticker pack. Wallpapers on WhatsApp are seeing four major updates – custom chat wallpapers, additional doodle wallpapers, an updated stock wallpaper gallery, and the ability to set separate wallpapers for light and dark mode settings.”

Animated Sticker pack
WhatsApp in collaboration with WHO has launched a pack of animated stickers called the ‘Together at Home’ sticker pack. WhatsApp says that these stickers have been particularly popular with the users therefore animating them would enhance the user experience. The ‘Together at Home’ sticker pack comes with text that is localized in 9 languages-Arabic, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
Search option for Stickers
The user can now search for their favourite stickers with this newly added feature. Previously the option was only available to search GIFs and Emojis within on the platform. The Sticker Search option can now be used to find stickers by using text or emoji or to browse through common sticker categories.
New wallpapers
In a much-liked move, Whatsapp has rolled out a whole bunch of new wallpapers for user convenience and added user experience. One of the much-awaited wallpapers includes the Custom wallpapers for chats. Therefore you can now customise your chats with different wallpapers to easily distinguish between them.
The second type of wallpapers is the doodle wallpapers. Who doesn’t like doodles as their wallpaper?? WhatsApp’s classic doodle wallpaper will now be available in many different colours.
Also, some of the new wallpapers are based on the app’s dark and light themes/modes. These wallpapers will automatically change when you change the phone theme to dark or light.
Lastly, the company says that it has added a bunch of wallpapers that include diverse, and iconic images of nature and architecture from around the world.
