WhatsApp Provides New Device Notification Feature for In-App Notifications
A new handy feature has been rolled out by WhatsApp instant messaging application to allow WhatsApp to make in-app announcements around new updates.
The functionality is called in-app updates, as stated by the popular WABetaInfo website, and it will be used to make new WhatsApp announcements.
Presently, via its forum, WhatsApp makes all the latest announcements, but eventually, users will get them directly on the app. These in-app updates could direct users or even require them to take a specific action on a particular website. For advertisement purposes, WhatsApp can not use this feature.
These announcements will not be distributed via chat to customers but will appear as an in-app banner instead. The first recent release made using this function by WhatsApp is the new Terms of Service that confirms that WhatsApp is launching its new terms and also shines a light on the update’s essential purpose.
A previous study said that in 2021, WhatsApp would change its Terms of Service, and WhatsApp users will have to approve it or their account will have to be removed. This update’s key focus is how WhatsApp handles user data and how organizations can use hosted Facebook applications to store and manage their WhatsApp conversations. On February 8, 2021, the update will take effect.
They will lose access to their account if users do not comply with the improvements or the revised service terms. Users would have to go to Settings > Account > Delete My Account to delete the WhatsApp account.
