The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform is a high-end SoC for smartphones. It was introduced and announced globally in late 2022.
Manufactured in 4 nm at TSMC (N4P), now Snapdragon itself has tweeted to inform the users about the first smartphones that will be making use of the new processor.
A list of the Smart phones includes:
- Vivo X90 Pro+
- IQOO 11 series
- Xiaomi 13 series
- Moto X40

Additionally, they also claimed that the SoC is “FastConnect 7800 for next-gen” and provides “high-performance #WiFi & Dual #Bluetooth”. Praising the processor they called it for having a “groundbreaking #AI”.
With the new architecture, the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is the fastest mobile CPU for Android-based devices competing with the current Apple SoCs like the Apple A16.
