2023 Tata Safari Facelift test mule spotted, it might come with Tata’s new logo
Tata Safari Facelift test mule spotted and has revealed some of the key design changes that this SUV is to bring. Tata Safari and Harrier were once the top sellers in the SUV segment. As soon as the Mahindra SUV came in the market it ate a significant market share of Harrier and Safari and continued to be on top. Now Tata is on its way to updating its car with a new design language seen with Curvv Concept.
Its recent sighting has revealed a number of changes that designers have made to it that it needs to fight in the market with its competitor.
Design
The image shared by Rushlane shows that the Tata Safari Facelift will retain its split headlamp design, but the main headlight will be seen with an update. The curvy profile seems to have been replaced with the flatter front fascia. A full-width LED strip can also be seen as we saw in Harrier EV.
Another significant change can be expected from the Tata new logo. As Mahindra changed its logo Tata might also bring its new logo with this SUV that represents its sportier, futuristic machine approach. The image of the SUV reveals its new set of alloy wheels whose wheel hub is intelligently camouflaged and hints towards its new logo. An observable bulge in the front top section also points towards the same. Amid rising speculation about its new logo, it’s not yet known whether a new logo of Tata will be introduced or just some change will be made.
Powertrain
In order to compete with the Mahindra and other competitors Tata needs to be versatile. Tata Safari with the sole 2.0-litre diesel motor can be updated to petrol and electric variants to meet the current demand of the market. We can expect it to be powered by the petrol engine showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo which is a 1.5-liter turbo unit that churns out 170 PS of max power and 280 Nm of peak torque.
Other than these features people are waiting for the test results of Global NCAP crash tests.
