After Hyundai Verna, Tata Harrier and Safari 2023, bagged five-star ratings in the Global NCAP test
This year, the Bharat New Car Assessment Program, (Bharat NCAP), is supposed to be active for Indian vehicles to undergo car safety tests.
On the other hand, the year 2023 saw many vehicles undergo the Global NCAP safety test. In the first week of October received the announcement that the Hyundai Verna bagged a five-star in the Global NCAP.
On similar grounds, it has now come to light that the Tata Safari and Harrier, 2023 has managed to achieve the highest Global NCAP score for adult and child occupant safety. All of these tests have been voluntarily carried out by different companies as part of the #SaferCarsForIndia campaign.
Tata Harrier and Tata Safari Global NCAP result: Reportedly, both the Safari and Harrier, belonging to Tata, displayed stability in their structure in the Global NCAP test. The vehicles incorporated a robust restraint systems strategy, which managed to offer good protection in the tests.
Both the Safari and Harrier also marked full protection for child occupants in the dynamic tests. The vehicles incorporate ISOFIX anchorages, along with a passenger airbag disabling switch. These elements make them ideal for children traveling in them.
The vehicles also managed to hit the standard requirements of UN127 and GTR9 for pedestrian protection.
Last, but not the least, the vehicles complied with all of Global NCAP’s ESC requirements.
Global NCAP test: The test carries out an assessment of the frontal and side impact protection and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). To achieve a higher star rating, a vehicle is also supposed to undergo pedestrian protection and side impact pole protection.
